Empowering Service Orders products

Order Management

ConceptWave’s Order Management enables CSPs to manage, refine, automate, and execute the entire ordering lifecycle from end-to-end. This high performance Order Management system is designed specifically for CSPs. It decomposes complex orders and leverages a rules-based workflow engine with design tools for sophisticated process modeling that support standard frameworks such as eTOM. Its realime order validation and provisioning capabilities can automate order handling from capture through to service fulfillment. At any failure point, it can automatically repair orders, rolling back the steps necessary for resolution and routing the order to the appropriate queue for manual handling.

By providing visibility across multiple order management environments, ConceptWave’s Order Management can integrate end-to-end supply chains using XML-based interfaces, web service principles, and technologies like SOAP, JMS, HTML and SID. Because those supply chains are expanding, it enables trading partner interconnection and can manage orders across partner networks and processes. It is equipped with workflow and orchestration capabilities that drive provisioning for bundled products that include in-house and partner supplied components. It delivers the workflow tools CSPs need to visualize, automate, and continuously improve ordering and service fulfillment processes that span organization, technology, customer, and partner domains.

Order Management’s core features include:

  • Proven ability to handle millions of order events per day in production
  • Support for any order type and order activity for any service
  • End-to-end visualization of all order activities
  • Definition of items such as workgroups, routing, business rules, and order sub-flow decomposition
  • Creation of routing steps and logic conditions for various stages of an order lifecycle
  • Definition of activities such as Sequential, Dependent, Parallel, Subordinate, Conditional, Delayed, Milestone, Iterative, Manual, Automated and more
  • Sub-order routing to specific workgroups, individuals and systems
  • Automated and prioritized exception management, order repair, and error resolution

Order management is complex and requires master of parallel processing, sequence timing, manual tasking, prioritized exception management, and automated error resolution. ConceptWave’s industry-leading experience in this area brings such capabilities together in detailed templates that apply the best, proven approaches to fulfilling orders, introducing new order types, and accelerating new service delivery. Using a meta-data approach allows for application configuration rather than coding at implementation and throughout the order  lifecycle. Using a lifecycle perspective and analytical approach, ConceptWave’s Order Management can deliver efficiency metrics that drive improvements in average cost per order, average revenue per user, and the other primary measures CSPs use to determine operational success.
