Zarar Rana - CEO, President and Co-Founder

With more than twenty years of telecom experience at his disposal, Mr. Rana brings crucial industry knowledge to ConceptWave Software Inc.

Mr. Rana's former leadership roles for numerous Telco giants include AT&T Canada and Nortel Networks. His ability to tackle diverse technical and management challenges reveal Mr. Rana's true capacity as a leader. Successfully managed key projects range from Development and Support for OSS/BSS at UNITEL (AT&T), through to establishing and managing architecture, development, and support infrastructures for Service Management systems at Nortel.

Mr. Rana has clearly established himself as a telecommunications expert at the corporate level with successful forays into technology startups. He was the founding member and President of Objectel Software, responsible for assembling and directing the team that developed Objectel. As a visionary software solution, Objectel was eventually acquired by Nortel and remains a standard product line.

Mr. Rana's experience in senior executive roles also includes tenure with innovative software developers, Accugraph. In his role as Senior Vice President, Product Development, he carried out the VP duties of Product Development, Customer Delivery and Support, and Architel.

With extensive industry experience, Mr. Rana is able to identify and isolate the key challenges facing the Communications Service Provider community and provide authoritative direction in the development of innovative, tangible solutions.

Mr. Rana holds a Bachelors of Electronic Engineering degree from the University of Essex, UK.

Ivan Chochlekov - CTO, VP Product Development and Co-Founder

Dr. Chochlekov is a hands-on industry innovator and a leading academic. His extensive experience has produced a definitive Systems Architecture knowledge base that spans some 25 years.

With numerous best-in-class products to his name, Dr. Chochlekov is a proven authority in Systems Architecture, and is eminently qualified to direct the developmental efforts at ConceptWave Software Inc.

Perhaps one of Dr. Chochlekov's most significant assets as a Systems Architect is his familiarity with developing large and complex distributed systems. His leadership and guidance roles for many large Telco's, include industry standards UNITEL, Nortel Networks, and Architel. The sheer variety of projects marshaled by Dr. Chochlekov point to an exceptionally complete understanding of Telco environments. Dr. Chochlekov conceives solutions to real challenges confronting the CSP community.

As an executive he has provided vision for numerous organizations. Dr. Chochlekov served as Director of Systems Architecture at Architel, while his leadership involvement at Objectel resulted in the development of the Objectel OSS Strategy. Even as corporate director, Dr. Chochlekov has always been hands-on, working closely with his team to develop solutions that challenge the norms in software development.

Dr. Chochlekov holds a Masters degree in Science and a PhD in Software Development. He is uniquely positioned to understand the challenges CSPs face, and to address them with an insightful blend of academic expertise, and practical industry experience.

Chun-Ling Woon - Vice President, Marketing and Business Development

With more than 20 years of hands-on, telecom-specific experience in both the technical and management facets of the industry, Chun-Ling Woon is a dynamic veteran of the OSS/BSS software market.

Mr. Woon's ability to drive a company and its product to market, has scored numerous wins with such industry players as Nortel Networks, Siemens, Architel, and Astracon. As a former Vice President at Nortel and an Executive Vice President at Astracon, Mr. Woon brings with him a deep understanding of the challenges facing the telecom industry. He aptly distills and articulate the real value in any product offering. Extensive experience in related fields, such as Partner Management and Sales Support, allows Mr. Woon to introduce a high degree of corporate-wide cohesion in his marketing initiatives.

Many in the OSS/BSS analyst community have recognized Mr. Woon's thorough understanding of the telecom world. He is routinely polled for his opinion of the market, the technologies that drive it, and the overall trajectory of telecom at large.

As an experienced senior manager, Mr. Woon is a rare contributor who fully understands the complexity of OSS/BSS at all levels. Mr. Woon is equally familiar with all aspects of the business, from systems architecture and implementation, through to the mechanics of brokering a deal. Fundamentally, Mr. Woon is a strategic, well informed software marketing professional.

Heather Tippin - Vice President, Operations

Heather Tippin draws upon over 20 years of experience in the OSS software and telecommunications industry. Ms.Tippin's strengths lie in operational and financial management, with in line and staff roles in both telecom and OSS software development organizations.

Ms. Tippin has assisted numerous small organizations in the software realm, addressing their operational and growth challenges. She acted also as Vice President of the global consulting services organization at ADC SSD. Her leadership roles extend to AT&T Canada and Bell Canada, with financial, process, and telecom line operations responsibilities.

Heather Tippin holds a B.A.Sc. in Civil Engineering as well as a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Toronto. She is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario.

Rick Kapani - Vice President, Sales (Americas)

Mr. Kapani brings 14 years of senior-level position experience in the telecommunications market. Delivering sales excellence, Mr. Kapani has added value to both public and private companies in areas such as global sales, channel development, operations, and solution delivery.

Mr. Kapani joined ConceptWave in 2005. Previously he held senior positions at Architel Systems Corporation, Nortel Networks, MetaSolv, and TierOne. Mr. Kapani has worked with service providers around the globe, gaining a deep understanding of the challenges facing the service provider industry. He is able to clearly articulate the value in any product offering.

Mr. Kapani also has extensive experience in service delivery, having led a consulting organization that successfully delivered OSS solutions to major service providers around the globe.

Mahmud Noormohamed - Vice President, Sales (EMEA, APAC, Canada)

Mahmud Noormohamed complements ConceptWave with an established and well reputed international track record in business development, sales and executive management within the telecom sector.

He has held senior executive positions at BT, Dimension Data, LogicaCMG, Astracon, and more recently with Net Insight. Mahmud is proficient at acquiring large scale deployment projects both directly and in-directly through partners. His portfolio boasts accounts on an international scale.

Mahmud's most notable achievements included strategic sales within Customer Care and Billing, and OSS environments within Tier 1 service providers in USA, Europe and Asia. He has led and developed sales teams across the globe and managed multi-million dollar pipelines.

Working with a telecom operator, systems integrator, and an equipment manufacture within the service provider world, Mahmud has built an empathetic relationship with his target customers. With aptitude, commercial insight, and hands-on experience he is an asset that ConceptWave is leveraging as it scales its business internationally.

Mahmud holds a BSc (Honors) degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and is a member of the Institute of Engineering & Technology (MIET).

Roland Knight - Executive Director, Service Delivery

Mr. Knight is a veteran software architect and a developer for client applications. He has been a key leader within ConceptWave's product development team since the inception of the company in 2000. Previously, Mr. Knight was the CTO of Sintech, a web-based hedge fund trading software application company. He has also held senior technical positions with Ernst & Young, Gateways Systems, and IQ Bermuda. Mr. Knight has an Honours in Bachelor of Science (1990) from University of Waterloo, Canada.

Robert Emery - Executive Director, Product Management & Development

Mr. Emery is responsible for defining and delivering Order Care solutions specializing in complex telecommunications engagements. He has extensive domain knowledge in telecom CRM, Billing and Order Management, and Provisioning systems. Prior to ConceptWave, Mr. Emery was the Enterprise Architect at AT&T Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and Masters of Business Administration from Wilfred Laurier University.
